Power Rankings: Week 12

The final stretch! In all likelihood, 4 playoff seats have been claimed. Which means two slots remain with ~6 teams in contention.

As for the battle more Most Points Scored - Ryan has a 62.1 point lead over Kyle with two games remaining. Chet/Mike & Case are not far behind.

Finish strong, gentlemen!

  1. Ryan (8-4)

    Last Week: 1st

The whole responsibility of “Fatherhood” hasn’t been much of handicap for ya, huh? Zaddy has secured a playoff spot - now it’s just a matter of locking up that coveted first round BYE! And would you look at that! A red hot cousin-lover awaits in Week 13 - the winner of this contest will almost certainly secure himself a restful Week 15. The lineup feels slimmer than it was a month ago, but there isn’t a soul on earth who wants to see these boys come playoff time.

  2. Cole (8-4)

    Last Week: 3rd

Why hello there! Welcome to the almost-top! When your opponent’s RB1 and RB2 have the potential to touch the ball 40+ times each and every week - that’s nightmare fuel. Fold them in with with two mid WR1’s, mix in a sexy FLEXy or two, season with a solid QB - and you’re off and cooking! 6 straight wins is mightily impressive, making it hard to believe this roster was 2-4 at one point.

  3. Chet & Mike (8-4)

    Last Week: 4th

Josh Jacobs, ay? Every analyst across the country had him as the top RB1 this season right? The Bama Back has become the steal of 2022 fantasy drafts - good thing too, because his Crimson Tide comrade Najee hasn’t been quite as friendly (better lately though!). The truth is, this lineup has an excellent shot at summiting the GLOAT mountain. With Ryan & Cole matched up in Week 13, the Skyline Simps have a unique opportunity to potentially secure a first round BYE regardless of outcome. Giddyup.

  4. Case (6-6)

    Last Week: 2nd

Why is this team only .500? Beats me. Lamar and Andrews have been uncharacteristically pedestrian lately - so that must be it. But man, Tony P has been dominant alongside Nick Chubb. Gabe Davis and Christian Kirk can’t be trusted any farther than they can be thrown, but their ceiling makes them an intimidating matchup nonetheless. Can he do it? Could we have our first repeat champ in GLOAT?? I don’t see why not. But make no mistake - I’m not rooting for it!!!

  5. Kyle (7-5)

    Last Week: 5th

Not catching headlines, but getting the job done. After all, real G’s move in silence like lasagna. Our lovable loser is a loser no more, having ensured that the 2022 season will not end with a sub-.500 record. But never mind that old rhetoric - these boys have the firepower to go out a bring home a championship. Godwin’s stock is pointing straight up, Coop has been a quiet WR1, and the Kelce/Saquon/Mixon trio is truly elite. Don’t get it twisted.

  6. Henry (5-7)

    Last Week: 6th

Just when we thought Hank might be a surprise postseason darkhorse, the 2021 last place finisher has lost 3 straight and now finds himself on the outside looking in. The good news is that the talent hasn’t budged. This is an extraordinarily deep backfield with under-the-radar studs lining up outside. You’ve been punched in the teeth. There’s no time to ice up or stop the bleeding. Gotta fight back, and win out.

  7. Bacich (6-6)

    Last Week: 9th

Alright - I’ll say it more clearly this time: I really don’t think this team is good! Sure, Zeke has stepped up lately and Dalton Schultz is a sneaky good TE option. But Raheem Mostert is banged up and battling the presence of Jeff Wilson, Lazard has become second fiddle to Christian Watson, and Curtis Samuel’s stock has nosedived with Taylor Heinicke under center. Yet - this squad remains squarely in the hunt at 6-6. Gotta win at least one of the next two.

  8. Devon (6-6)

    Last Week: 12th

Take me back? I won’t ever let it happen again. I swear it meant nothing to me. The stock ticker is pointing north once more. Pacheco looks like he’s secured top dawg duties in KC, Pittman has been less frustrating lately, and Leonard Fournette might be getting healthy again. The Zonovan Knight pickup is one to keep a close eye on, especially with Michael Carter sidelined. This is one of the lowest scoring rosters in the league - but that won’t matter come playoff time. Gotta get there first though!

  9. Tom (5-7)

    Last Week: 7th

While I acknowledge that I am indeed human - as evidenced by my pedestrian 2022 record - I also want to point out that you all would’ve had to call me “Tommy Two Rings” if Breece Hall & Cooper Kupp never hit IR. The “Best to Eva Do It” can’t be stellar ALL of the time. I’m still top two, not two.

  10. Austin (5-7)

    Last Week: 10th

Not dead, but not living either! There’ are long shot odds that Stain could win out and secure the final playoff spot, but a significant deficit in Total Points Scored should keep any level of optimism in check. But hey, I’m staying there’s still a chance!

  11. Brad (4-8)

    Last Week: 11th

A great team that never came to be. The injury bug bit early and often. This MIGHT be just the THIRD TIME that Bradley’s first five draft picks (Chase, Swift, Keenan, Etienne, Mahomes) will suit up & start alongside one another. The poor fellow battled courageously and with honor, but he was never given a fighting chance.

  12. Bali (4-8)

    Last Week: 8th

    Hello John,

Seasons greetings! Please set your lineup, or you won’t be invited back.

    Sincerely,

GLOAT Asst. Commissioner & VP of Power Rankings
